Thursday 3rd February

The blog site looks so good now, I’ve shown the link to everyone at Uni who was willing to see it, and I’m really happy with the way it’s developing.

I’ve arranged to meet up with Simon on Monday next week. Hmm, I think I’m getting lessons in blog posting so that I can do it myself. I’ll have to ask about uploading images from a DSLR camera to my tablet as I’ll have plenty of images from my travels in Peru, and of the Inti Raymi festival, which I’m really looking forward to seeing. I also plan to take some photos of the Peruvian people who I’ll be working with and teaching whilst I’m out there.

Lisa, my tutor has suggested that I take an EA1 form. It’s an ethics form for permission and verbal consent if I decide to interview people whilst I’m there. Its a great idea as I can get a real insight into people’s lives, their struggles and social issues.

On Saturday the weather was lousy, so I decided to go home after finishing my morning shift at work. I opened the door to find an official looking letter waiting for me. It was my criminal record check or DBS check. Wow, that was quick, I only requested it on Monday. Sunday’s job will be to upload it to the IVHQ site.

Another job ticked off … this to do list is getting smaller.
