I’m Elaine Ridgway, I am 52 years old and currently in the second year of my English Language, Literature, and Creative Writing Degree which I absolutely love. It has always been an ambition of mine to visit Peru and when the opportunity arose to volunteer in the country over the summer of 2022, I jumped at the chance and decided to combine my fascination with Machu Picchu with my love of writing, so that I may use these blog entries for my third-year dissertation.
