Monday 7th February

I met Simon for coffee at the Hive cafe, and I brought my new Samsung S6 tablet with me. He did a great job of setting my tablet up for me and showed me how to make blog entries on it via WordPress, and how to create tags that link to specific things that I have bought for my trip and where I purchased them from.

I created an entry when I had got home after our meeting and published it, mainly to test the waters to see if it worked. It did. I was relieved and really chuffed about that.

Simon later emailed me confirming that I could upload images from my Canon DSLR to my tablet, and also said he would explain about the re-sizing of the photos I take so they are compatible for the blog post. He showed me that he had started to create a link to my Facebook page that will take you to my Peru blog posts. It hasn’t gone live as yet, but he has created a ‘subscribe’ tab on the blog page.

I have so far received good feedback regarding my Peru blog, which lets me know that I have got the content and the style of writing just about right.

We have arranged to meet up again on the 17th February. It will be progression week / half term at Uni then and I’m being shown how to do more with my blog page.

Eighteen weeks and Five days until I fly to Peru … Eek!
