Monday 31st January

I submitted my official holiday request form in to my manager at work, so my time off is now organised. I also had to sort out a criminal record check or DBS, on the government website as that is required for the company that I am going with, (IVHQ) and I’ll need to upload that as soon as it comes through. I’ve also requested paper copies of my insurance so I can take them with me, and I can send the policy document to IVHQ.

I seem to have got lots done, including some of the modules on my TEFL course and I have three more to complete, however, I have quite a list of things to do, and I just don’t want to forget about something that would prevent me from going. It is the last minute things that can only be done in the three weeks prior to my travel date that I mustn’t forget. I’ll really need to check and double check on that one.

I would like to thank my friend, Simon for his help and advice on my blog name…. http://peruandmarmalade.co.uk and for setting this up as I didn’t have a scoobies of what to do regarding the rules, and the do’s and don’ts of blog posting and more importantly, how it all worked.

I downloaded a ‘Learn Spanish’ app onto my phone, and I try to do around 1 hour per day of conversational Spanish and phrases that might come in useful whilst I am teaching in Peru. So far, it’s going fine. It’s just remembering everything that I have learnt, and more notably, getting it right. It has brought all the Spanish I learnt in school come flooding back to me, so hopefully, it will stop with me long enough, well, at least until I get back from Peru.

Twenty weeks and Four days to go …
